Storm Damage Cleanup and Build Back Prep in Prospect
The Before Photo shows the sludge-filled basement floor in this Prospect basement after SERVPRO extracted the standing water. The walls soaked in a fair amount of contaminated water (Black Water) and so our crew performed a "flood cut." This serves the dual purpose of exposing and drying the wall cavities as it prevents rusting of the galvanized studs and also removes the biohazardous material. The cuts at the two-foot level simplify the build back using new drywall panels once the axial fans, air movers, and dehumidifiers have completed the drying process. Our SERVPRO crew monitors with measuring devices to ensure that the moisture content is standard before closing up the walls. Count on us to do it right.
