A Fun Update On A Modern Classic That You Can Enjoy From Your Waterbury Home
The Palace Theater in Waterbury has an extra special treat for all performing arts lovers this December: The Hip Hop Nutcracker. This is a delightfully modern and joyful twist on the festive classic that the whole family can watch together.
- It opens with a short set from Hip Hop legend MC Kurtis Blow.
- Features a dozen star dancers accompanied by a DJ and a violinist.
- Moves the action from 19th century Germany to modern-day New York.
This evening-length production was recorded live at the New Jersey Performing arts center. Screening is on December 20 at 3 PM and is streamed straight to your home.
General and VIP tickets are available. General tickets cost $25, and you must view it at the scheduled time. VIP tickets cost $50 and let you watch within a 48-hour window. VIP tickets also include admission to a live-streamed chat with the show’s creators.
